Circle of study and the reinforcement of knowledge, CERCO is a complex for secondary and university education created in 1998 in the republic of Benin by Mr. Alain CAPO-CHICHI, a dynamic young manager, distinguished by the world plan in the domain of education. In the first year of his career, he opened a single college that succeeded in achieving a matchless score in the sector of private education in Benin with the recruiting of 1,126 students divided into the sixieme classes.
Before the size of this first class, the leaders of the institution introduced IT and enterprise into education in Benin in order to guarantee a chance of success to its students. The results were conclusive and CERCO rapidly evolved to 25 colleges in 2005 with a student body of 25,612 pupils. From 2005 to 2007, its colleges increased to 77 for a larger student body spread throughout all of Benin.
The first class of students admitted to CERCO in 1998 moved on to universities in 2005. CERCO thus created its own university at the beginning of the 2005-2006 academic year. The creation of this university coincided with the expanding vision of its leaders. At present, CERCO has embarked on a career in Africa and internationally to place CERCO satellites in Mali in 2006, in France in 2007, and soon in all the countries of the UEMOA/CEDEAO space, like Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo and Niger.
